[The first thing Miss Pauling notes when she opens her eyes is how bright the bedroom is. She shuts her eyes tightly, having not yet readjusted to the light. However, when she opens them up again, she immediately notes something else.

The walls around her weren't coloured purple.

Confused, she reaches for her glasses at the bedside table, only to note that they weren't her usual optic wear either. They were just the wrong shape.]

That's strange, where are my glasses...?

[Her hands fumbled around for her familiar pair of spectacles, until she accidentally knocked over the lamp with a resounding smash.]

Ooops.

No, I don't think it has any intention of lettin' any of us out, it jus' wants t' play. 'R somethin'. I don't think it's very much holdin' us hostage as it is just not lettin' us leave. It's kinda complicated. But no, I don't know why we're here, but I don't think it's got anthin' to do with anythin' back home.

A while. A month 'n' a half from my perspective, not sure about outside. The days get longer the longer ya stay here, unfortunately. I expect I'll be here a while, anyway. [Sigh.]

Pretty well, I think. Not bad, in any case. Sometimes the people here get fuckin' on yer nerves, though. Eugh.

Well...I'm getting better, I guess. I haven't really gotten to know anyone else yet, so I don't know how the people are like here. Is there someone I should be careful of?
