Memo 004: Thank Yous and Loose Ends (Backtrack to day after zombie outbreak ends)

Thank you to everyone who came by the hospital and defended it. It wasn't easy, but we did it, and I'm really grateful for everyone's cooperation.

B. Phone (filtered to both the RED Spy and the BLU Spy)

Would it be possible for me to see the two of you today? Sometime before lunch?

C. Phone (filtered to the BLU Sniper, hackable)

Mr Mundy, I was wondering whether you'd like me to take you around town today? If it's not too much trouble, I can meet up with you after lunch.

D. Action (around 1337 Benny Road)

(Miss Pauling seems to be busy with something, being up early in the morning. It looks like she's baking...something. However, based on the annoyed look on her face, it doesn't seem to be working...there's a strong smell of cookies in the kitchen, with just a tinge of a burning smell. Anyone who happens to be awake at 8am in the morning and around 1337 Benny Road may just get a free sample cookie with some crumbly black bits.)

E. Action
(If anyone's around the neighborhoods, they'll see Miss Pauling holding a slip of paper as she navigates through all the houses in the hope of finding one. She's got a bag of something that's emitting a nice smell, if a bit burnt. Approach her?)

F. Action (726 Anderson Lane)

(With some help from the Spies, she found out where Miss Susan stays at. With a bag of cookies (only slightly burnt on the edges) she finds herself at the doorstep. She looks a bit anxious, but eventually she gets enough courage to knock on the door.)

[Since they've only spoken over the phone, Lithuania doesn't recognize her on sight. Still, she does look like she's not a drone, at least.]

(She looks up from the address she had written up. That voice did sound somewhat familiar, but she can't place it at the moment...)

Oh, good morning sir. I don't suppose you know where this address is? I was given directions, but I'm still a bit loss. I need to get to 726 Anderson Lane.

[He's sure he's heard that voice not too long ago... Of course, with all the zombies, he's been a bit distracted.]

Let's see, Anderson Lane would be two blocks that way. This place can be hard to navigate, with everything looking so similar.

(She guesses that this must be the not!child in Susan's family. He didn't seem to be a drone, at least. She gives him a smile.)

Good morning. Does a Miss Susan stay here? I'd just like to thank her for helping me out a few days ago.

[Whenever Miss Pauling has concluded her conversation with Luke and other members of the household, she will find Susan at the breakfast table grading papers. This seems to consist of copious usage of red pen.]

(Miss Pauling walks into the house. When she sees Miss Susan at the breakfast table, she coughs slightly, just to get her attention.)

Excuse me, Miss Susan? I'm sorry to interrupt you, but I was told that you'd be here. I don't want to keep you from your work, but I'd just like to pass these to you, as thanks for your help the other day.

(She hands her the bag of cookies.)

I'm really sorry that they're a bit burnt, but baking and cooking have never been a strong point of mine.

[She'll look up from her work in some surprise, taking the bag of cookies. The thought passes her mind that it was a bit silly to gift something you weren't good at making, but she suspects her clever remarks wouldn't be appreciated.]

You really don't have to do that. We have a pink pony who already bakes far more than the rest of us could ever hope to consume.

[Susan pauses for a half second for Pinkie Pie to spontaneously appear out of nowhere with a tray of cupcakes, as per the rules that governed this sort of comedy. She'll continue when nothing happens.]

But thank you, nonetheless.

[As Susan's visitor is leaving toward the front door, she may hear a faint "psst" from the nearby staircase. There's a boy sitting on the steps, different from the one who had greeted her at the door, though similar in age. This one appears shadowy in comparison as he watches her between the posts of the banister.]

(At times like this, the immature competitiveness between RED and BLU really makes her want to bang her head on the wall. The mercenaries were sometimes almost as bad as the Redmond and Blutarch.)

It would make things a lot easier if you both are around; I'd needn't explain the same thing twice. But if it's too difficult for you two, I could meet the both of you separately.

Anyway, the BLU Spy was here earlier; he preferred things to be kept that way. Nothing personal, I hope.

(She passes him a glass of water.)

The reason I called you here, Mr Spy, is that I'd like you to keep an eye out on The Doctor. We've already antagonized him by defending ourselves; I wouldn't put it pass him to try and get revenge, or at the very least, try to find a way to put all of us under his control.
