Memo 004: Thank Yous and Loose Ends (Backtrack to day after zombie outbreak ends)

Thank you to everyone who came by the hospital and defended it. It wasn't easy, but we did it, and I'm really grateful for everyone's cooperation.

B. Phone (filtered to both the RED Spy and the BLU Spy)

Would it be possible for me to see the two of you today? Sometime before lunch?

C. Phone (filtered to the BLU Sniper, hackable)

Mr Mundy, I was wondering whether you'd like me to take you around town today? If it's not too much trouble, I can meet up with you after lunch.

D. Action (around 1337 Benny Road)

(Miss Pauling seems to be busy with something, being up early in the morning. It looks like she's baking...something. However, based on the annoyed look on her face, it doesn't seem to be working...there's a strong smell of cookies in the kitchen, with just a tinge of a burning smell. Anyone who happens to be awake at 8am in the morning and around 1337 Benny Road may just get a free sample cookie with some crumbly black bits.)

E. Action
(If anyone's around the neighborhoods, they'll see Miss Pauling holding a slip of paper as she navigates through all the houses in the hope of finding one. She's got a bag of something that's emitting a nice smell, if a bit burnt. Approach her?)

F. Action (726 Anderson Lane)

(With some help from the Spies, she found out where Miss Susan stays at. With a bag of cookies (only slightly burnt on the edges) she finds herself at the doorstep. She looks a bit anxious, but eventually she gets enough courage to knock on the door.)

*There's a silence on the line while he goes and checks. He actually has no idea what his address is. In fact after leaving the house and the whole zombie thing it had taken him far too long to even find it again. Everything looked the same. *

625 Topper Street. Seems t' 'ave my name on th' mailbox already. Guess they were expectin' me.

*The mailbox does indeed say M. Mundy on it. Much to his dismay.*

*He's outside frowning at the place he was supposed to be calling his home. Better than being inside while his wife and kids bugged him. Plus th' way she was bustling around doing chores creeped him out. Like she was a robot.*

(She's just walking down the street at 1.55 pm when she sees him waiting outside. Quickly she picks up the pace till she reaches the house.*

My apologies, Mr Mundy, for being late. How have you been doing so far in Mayfield since the zombie outbreak?

Well, maybe some parts, but not all. This is after all how America was like, back in the 1950s.

(She's taking him down the road towards the town now. Along the way, they'll pass all the houses, each one looking the same as the other.)

And even back then, you'd only find places like this in small towns far from the city.

Well, people tend to prefer it because it's safe, and it was the norm back in the 1950s.

That's true. Cities aren't always the safest places, and even small towns like these have had their own skeletons in their closets.

(by now, they've arrived at the town. She proceeds to give him a tour of upper half of Mayfield.)

You might get a call or something from the town in a bit. They usually assign you jobs to carry out.

The RED Sniper? He works at both the schools as a janitor.

Well, people don't always get the jobs that they're suited to here.

I don't know. I don't think so, unless you want to try for law enforcement. There's the gun store as well, but I'm not sure whether it's possible to work there or not.

Law enforcement's not my thing. I'd 'ave to see a whole lot 'f Scout then too. Not sure I could handle that much of th' little spazz.

I guess...I've been doing alright. Both RED and BLU team members have been helping me adjust to Mayfield, so I'm really quite lucky in that aspect that I have people who look out for me.

Really? I don't feel that I get along with both RED and BLU. It's more of them tolerating me than anything else, seeing as I'm not that useful in anything while I'm here in Mayfield.
